I got these numbers off trans. trying to see what year it is. 261-1, 2 301261(the first 2 was bigger) and for engine I found 74-ot I am guess yr and 11 162, 400 6630-440-4, 70 4 76
What year is my 727 torqueflite Tranny?
I cannot find anything that will tell me the year the tranny is...Here,s whats on the side of the tranny right above the pan...J2801541 then 3413976...It,s in a big block 67 b body...

those are just casting numbers found on mostly all 727 transmissions,from what i get from the numbers it could be anything from a 70 to a 76 model,those are the exact same set of numbers i got on mine except for the last last two numbers,mine last two are 70 which should indicate the year of it,yours should be a 76 model,it doesn't matter on parts because all inner parts are the same on the ones from 76 and back,its not original to your car though ,its to new to be original,good luck.
Yup.....'67-early '68 383 and 440 HP. It would have come originally with the single wire neutral safety and the early converter spline count.Tranny is from a 67-68 HP 440 dodge chrysler .plymouth,mrmopartech
