I know were "sick" of talking gas here.....but,,,,,

Anyone here got the idea that our Goverments are trying their hardest to get rid of our wheels. This new "Green" way of life maybe a good thing in some ways but "I" think up here in Canada for starters our goverments are being sneeky by using "gas" as an excuse to buy HIBRIDS. Their now saying (last night) to exspect gas to rise to 2.50 liter (10.00 gallion) by 2011! and that our exhaust emissions are the impact.
Any "real" thoughts on this one!!!

Don't get me started on our government up here, provincial or federal:thebirdm: I think your right they figure if gas is too much we just won't drive or at least will drive hibrids or smart cars. Yes maybe there are too many huge *** pick ups and suvs being driven everyday to work and to drive kids around and pick up groceries, but at the same time many of us need to use larger vehicles for working in trades. The cost to run these vehicles just has to get passed onto the customer, who in the end is all of us. The trucking industry is going to take a real kicking as fuel prices escalate like you've quoted hear, again all of us are going to pay at the store wheather it be for groceries or other items. Not to change the topic of your thread there 69signet but what do you other BCers think of this carbon tax:bootysha:the Liberals are stuffing down our throat?? They give us an escalating carbon tax then promise to give us all a $100 cheque to ease the pain, thanks I'm gonna put my $100 cheque in may A-bodies fuel tank and make some good carbon!! Maybe we should all drink and drive so when we loose our license we will have to take transit, thus making our "carbon foot print" smaller. Oh wait I forgot if your a high up politician and drink martinis you won't loose your privaliage to drive=P~(well at least while in Hawaii, sorry a litttle inside B.C. joke there folks LOL) Sorry by no means or thought do I endorse alchol and the keys, couldn't resist a jab at our King Gordy Cambell:munky2:

I'll be driving my MOPAR when its $100.00 a gallon. F@$K those hybrid turds!!! I'll be that one guy thats driving around when everybody else has those flying cars!

It all has to do with greed by the money hungry SOBS!
It's not just the gas but everything else.
So you can't really blame it all on the government. That's not saying that they're not a part of the problem though.

As a percentage of taxes, governments get an increase every time there is a price hike. They're guilty as sin!!!
