Once up will put stands at frame rails , just don't want to lift the car from the wrong spot and bend something .
Thanks ,been over 30 years since I worked on cars , forgot so much !

If you are talking about your Dart I use the middle of the K frame
Be careful and not let it hit your oil pan or slide off and hit it.

The K frame is under the engine and goes across the frame under the oil pan.
Hope this helps

Not my / but wish it was :D

Once you get it up, put a small piece of wood on top of each stand.

Helps spread the load out on the rails.

Thanks , that's what I remember , was not sure . Didn't want to bend the k-frame . Will place wood on the stand on frame rails .
Thanks again guys .

You won't bend the K frame. Make sure your jack has a "tit" on the lift pad, rotate it straight back so that it "hooks" on the rear of the K. As the car goes up, the K will be tilted some, and will try and "walk" off the jack in some cases, but if the jack pad is "hooked" at the rear edge, it cannot do that

Not knowing the construction of your jack, hard to compare. I'm not sure I would recomment wood on your jack stands. Seems to me this could create a dangerous slippage situation. If you are concerned about scratching the painted bottom? Then find some rubber or even heavy rags to wrap the tops of your stands.

Thanks , Ill try to line up the jack pad properly , Have some rubber strips I can puy on the stands to reduce scratches on the frame .
Thanks
