I need a new alternator for my little 67 Cuda.......WHERE, as in what major supplier, can I buy a good and correct (or very nearly correct) replacement???????

I do NOT want junk or Chinese trash..............

ANY SUGGESTIONS from EXPERIENCE ??

Buying from a parts store is a poor idea; "remanufactured" parts are junk. Old Car Parts Northwest has a good stash of new Chrysler -- not "remanufactured", not "100% new (Chinese knockoff junk") -- alternators. They're mostly the '70-up dual-field variety, but that's of no consequence; dual-field units work fine in '60-'69 cars -- all you have to do is ground one of the alternator's two field terminals. And then later if you decide to upgrade to the '70-up regulator, it's easy. If you order from OCPNW, specify an alternator of around 45 to 50 amps, otherwise you'll need to look at upgrading your charging circuit for safety (a good idea anyhow, even if you don't put in a giant-output alternator).
