As the title suggests, I'm looking into replacing the gear set on my 8.75 rear end. I bought a bearing kit for it and put it in a while back with the old gears, but it's been making a lot of noise since and I'm pretty sure the gears are fairly trashed by now. The pinion but backed out on me over some miles and it started locking the rear wheels when I came down to a stop, hence the reason I'm looking for replacements. However, not too long ago I ordered a custom driveshaft and got new 1350 yokes with it. The problem I have is that the current gear set (3.55's) are the coarse spline pinion (10 spilne), so I ordered a yoke to match. I can't seem to find any aftermarket gears for a 741 case in coarse spline though. I've tried the big names (Yukon, Dr. Diff, Richmond, etc.), but they only show fine spline gear sets. Does anyone know if there are any companies out there that offer new coarse spline 741 gear sets? I'd like to stay with my 3.55 ratio if possible.
