Looks like my heater core is starting to go south. Dumps fluid on floor only when heat is turned on. I'm pretty sure it is the original core. Are these worth repairing and if so, any recommendations?? If replacing is the way to go, again any recommendations on where to purchase. I've not had the pleasure of replacing one before but would like to do it only once....

I bought one for my '66 about three years ago at AutoZone. It took a day to order.

Most are cheap and available. PN depends on year and whether factory AC or not. OP didn't tell us any of that.

Installed a 'Made Elsewhere' one from Autozone for about $40. Took about 2 hrs, non air 64 Dart. Everything lined up and no leaks so far....This was my first time dealing with an aluminum core instead of the brass/copper ones. Couldn't believe how light weight it was. That has surely gotta affect longevity....Another example of getting what you pay for.
