I think I have heard about that one also.
So anyone could make a fake GSS and call it real, and say they have paperwork at home. That's interesting.
So how hard will it be to prove this one is a fake? Vin # and or? How many supposed fakes are there floating around. Thanks. Kim

Two atmospheres are better than one
There is no way to 100% verify a real one vs a fake except the paper trail. They were all 340 cars and modified at the dealer after they were built by Chrysler.
So no real # on how many were converted by Mr Norm/Grand Spaulding Dodge. Kim
I am sure it is like Yenkos and such. There has to be a paper trail. A gentlemen Larry Weiner has all (Amost all) the paperwork from GSD. That is the best source. There are subtle things they didnt that can help make it plausible. A friend mentioned here has been researching these for 30 years. He knew Norm personally for a long time. I would trust his inspection. Thee are no hard numbers of amounts. Which is what we are trying to do. I volunteered to go by Larry ans look through 1000s of VIN to try and compile a list, but we havent had common schedules yet

Well I have a real Yenko without any papers. That's doesn't mean it's fake. It sure came with alot of almost unbelieveable stories though..

Yenkos may have the VIN registry. This I dont know. I simply meant there are a lot of fakes.
There's a guy back where I grew up that cranks out "SS Chevelles" faster than the factory did....

Have either of you talked with the guy in NS Canada? He has a B5/White interior 3 speed GSS. He showed me a letter from Larry W. but won't share the VIN so not sure if he is legit.
Is this the one where the owner said Larry had the GSD folder for the car, but didn't want to pay 1000.00 for it? Why wouldn't you pay 1000.00 dollars for documents for this practical car that would add thousands to the value?? Hummm

The VIN would only help to have it on a list, only Larry has the paperwork to know if the VIN is in his stack.
I guess there’s a 50/50 chance either way. I agree get the documentation for it. Kim

He says he's never going to sell. Car is going to his daughter, but I agree the documentation would add more value than the $1,000 cost. Seems like a no brainer.
I'll never sell mine either. My boy will get it.
But, like the red car in the woods, claims are all cool, but documentation is needed. Too many think all GSD cars are automatically the special modified ones.

Well, if he needs/wants to sell it, it will be his to sell. My dad bought it new. I found it after it was missing for 34 years. I wont sell. I dont believe my boy will, but if he does, no hard feelings even if I am still alive. Ultimately its just a car.
Agree 100%. My 4 Demon are in a trust going to my 4 top/long time techs. They know they are getting one once I'm gone, they just don't know which one 
MCACN was super fun. Time with my boy, his girlfriend, and friends. Lots of amazing cars. Highlight was we had 7 of the known/confirmed/documented 9 (yes confirmed and found the owner of a green one) 1971 GSS Demon owners there in person. Making some plans.
