I need a new set of connecting rods for my 340 build. Should I go H beam or I beam? Around 400hp and max RPM around 6500. Street car, weekend cruiser with an occasional blast to clean it out. Which type rods and what brand is recommended?

stock or eagle H beam. I have blueprinted stock rods in my 340 with moparperf. bolts to 7100 rpm for 20 years now, with lightweight J E pistons
Scat I beam rods.

K1 forged H beam rods in my 400 horse 340
Paired with Arias forged pistons
But cant go wrong with scat or eagle
Mainly personal preference, im glad to see your going the forged route

Went with stock rods. Had them resized, rebushed and ARP bolts.
x2 hard to go wrong with Scat and an I beam would be your best choice .

If you only plan on making 400 h.p. Eagle I-beams should be fine got a set in my 400 h.p. 360 going on 3 seasons..anymore power then that i would go H-beams i found out their limit the hard way "BOOM"....
