mild 340 about 320 hp i have a torker and a performer a 600 eldebrock 600 and a holley 650doulbe pumper which should i run and why street car

Performer dual plane and Eldelbrock carb. More user friendly on street a car. Torker single plane and holley carb more performance not as user freindly. My two cents.

Good with the performer for now. However with a 340, keep your eyes open for either a performer RPM or an Air Gap

You'll loose torque with the Torker

Use the Performer intake.

Use the Holley DP if you can tune well and/or have a 3 or 4 spd manual trans, otherwise, the Edelbrock 600 is it. Also a excellent carb, it is forgiving with marginal tuning ability.

I'd like to know what brainchild at Edelbrock came up with that name

Back "in the day" I had whatever Edelbrocks perfectly good 180* design was on my 440 sixpack car with an 800 DP. Ran great.

Some moron talked me into a "Torker."

I'd forget the Torker on a mild street car. The LD340 is a killer intake. The Performer RPM and RPM AirGap are both worth mentioning as well.
