I need a master cylinder for my '66 Valiant(Dart). I want to run manual brakes(drums all around).
What is the best year/model to buy?

thanks guys
Al.

Unless there is upgrade involved like dual line (safety feature), you may as well just replace with same as original. A dual line from 67 up model might require a perportion valve change also.

Over on moparts.com rick ehrenberg from Mopar Action has new aluminum master cylinders with the adaptor needed for something like $65. I think its in the race parts for sale forum. I don't need one but at that price I was thinking about buying one for a spare.

I found Ehrenberg's ad on Moparts in the abody parts for sale, November section, Ad #3924272 - posted Fri. Nov. 02 2007 03:07 PM.
It's the second Ehrenberg ad, quite a ways down the page.

:sign3: I did that to my Dart and MAN what a difference. It stops so much better that my power brakes ever did and has a better pedal "feel" also.
My Duster is getting the same treatment soon.

The kit is made for getting rid of the power booster and switching back to manual brakes but I don't know why it wouldn't work just as well for you also.
