Which way does it go?

While rebuilding the front suspension on our 72 Dart the center link got turned around and I am not sure which end goes to the pitman arm. The holes are the same size but one is offset a little.

Very first thing you need to determine is whether you have late or early steering, that is 73/ later or 72/ early, and it could have either, that is, someone could have converted. My car will be late after it's painted. You determine this by looking at the stud on the pitman arm. Does the stud / nut on the pitman point up or down?

here is a pic of my 67 stuff while still assembled The idler is slightly different than yours, but all else should be the same.

The pitman points up. I am pretty sure it is original. Thanks for the pic. It looks like the offset hole goes on the idler in your picture.

indeed, your pic show that the centerlink is not the straight type used 73up.

take a look at my pic where the idler goes in, if you orient that tab correctly you should be good.
