I think it's an O.K cam. But the cams from Comp and Lunati have much more modern profiles and make better power.

yea i agree, this cam is pretty much going in a stock 340 motor nothin special

That sounds like the old "hemi grind" cam from DC. Those are good street cams to freshen up a stock 340 or 360.

The Purple cams are better than most every off the shelf cam out there until recently when Comp started in with there extreme line (XE) in which only there hi lift XE cams are only truly note worthy and take advantage of the 904 lifter well.
Then Lunati follows the band wagon set up by Huges to begin with by the way.

That cam is a real nice street performer and will make good power. Do not be fooled into being told it sucks when it doesn't. The better cams out there are only a few HP at best over the Purple cams. Don't let anyone tell you different.

The single pattern cams perform well with ported heads. The dual pattern cams are designed to work with so - so heads. Stock or not fully preped ported heads for the single pattern.

I've seen single pattern cams make more power than dual pattern cams. It depends on the head and then to a lesser extent the rest of the build.
