So I pulled the trigger on four 15x7 wheels today. All four wheels have matching 4.25" BS. I am pretty confident that 225/70/15's will fit on the rear of my car. The bigger question I have is do you guys think a 225/70/15 will fit under the front without rubbing? Car is stock suspension with all new rubbers/bushings with stock drums. I have not settled on the tires yet; I am mainly looking for functional. My fall back is a 225/60/15. Thanks.

That is an awfully tall tire, so for it to fit you're going to need a quite high ride height.

The 225/60-15 was basically all you could fit in the front on a 15" wheel on my Duster. Just barely clearing the front fender lips when turning. The 225/70-15 is about 1.8" taller. The car just flat out isn't designed for tires that tall.

I might also be looking at a 215/65-15 as the all around tire. My car currently has 215/70-14's all the way around and the 65-15's are pretty close in specs.

a little tight: I use: 235/60-15 rear, 205/70-15 front. gives close to same height, so I can carry one spare tire "just in case". Not perfect, but good enough to limp home.....

I've used 215/60R15's, 205/70R15 cleared the passenger side and hit the drivers side front . going to be putting the front runners back on in the spring 165/80R15.

Yes they are a tall tire. I wouldn't recommend them for the front. I'm sure rubbing will be an issue. I put them on the back of my 66 on 15x7's and they are tall. Click on my link below.

225/60R15 is perfect for all-around use on that car with those wheels. Close to the stock diameter, so you won't need a special spare tire either.
