Will 255/60/14's work on stock 73 swinger?

Thinking about doing a set of 14x6 Cragar SS wheels for the swinger and was wondering if 255/60/14's would work out back? i believe they will, car has 215/70/14's on it now out back with the stock steelie's and there's all kinds of room......

where you going to find a 255/60/14 tire ? the biggest anyone I know has is what I'm running the Radial TA 245/60/14 and they fit the back fine but you might need to roll the lips on the front depending on how high you ride .

255's that's the same width I'm running on my 8 inch wide wheels, not sure if I'd want that much tire bulge. I ran 235/60/14 on my 14x6 and it looked good but if I were to do that again I'd have gone down to 225/60/14's. BTW when I bought that set of tires the old tires were 215/75/14's, I totally get what you are experiencing.
