Will a \6 904 Tranny work on a 440?

Will a Slant 6 904 Transmission bolt up to a 440 Big Block? I already have a 727 Transmission freshly rebuilt, but am thinking that maybe the 904 may also be an option.

No. the /6 tranny will not bolt up to any V-8, big or small block the cast is for a /6 only. Walt :---)

i don't think it will because of the started location.. you would have to check with who ever makes the adapter plate.

Thanks, it looks like I'll have a low mileage 904 Tranny for sale soon. She has 42K miles on her, and was original equipment on the Dart. Was a daily driver til I got my hands on her.
