I picked up a 318 to put in my 65 Valiant (originally a 225). The 318 came out of a 67 Belvedere if I remember right and came with the exhaust manifolds in the pics. Will these work in my Valiant? I have manual brakes and manual steering. Thanks for any input!

Dont think so. The right side will. But driver’s side uses an odd shaped outlet that has to clear steering box.

The drivers side will not fit.
The stock 273 drivers side manifold isn't hard to find though.

That’s what we’ll do then. Getting ready to attach my A500 to it in order to fab up my trans mount. Then I’ll drop them in together and see what it looks like. Hopefully in a couple weeks.

FYI, I was told by the boys at Wildcat Auto Wrecking of Sandy, Oregon that P/N 3614368 (left) and 2863549 (right) exhaust manifolds (used on '69-'70 Darts with a 340) provide the most fenderwell clearance of any LA manifold. Those are the ones you can even use in a '60-'62 A-body, which of course never came with a V8 from the factory, and had a narrower engine bay than later models had. Don't know how well they flow, though.

The 340 manifolds fit with manual steering. The left side will contact a P/S box.

again with manual steering try what u have. a 2863549 casting number is early 340, 3614368 casting is maybe a later years. i sold these low miles (headers and big rear tires was the first thing done) for $400.
