Will these heads work well on 422CI

Just remember, you also have to buy a Expensive rockers/ shafts and a "W2 intake" to match these heads!!!!

Count up all the #### before you decide.

OK, that's all I needed to hear. I'll keep looking. Thanks

If those heads perform as well as they look they're well worth the money,w2's are the only iron head i'd ever run, there's a guy out of Canada that runs at Lebanon valley with a pretty stock looking '70 duster but it's got a 416 stroker with w'2's nothing real crazy done to the motor and he runs 10.40's all day,yes you do need to run w2 rocker gear and a w2 intake but it cost money to go real fast..

That small chamber will not work well for a street engine without a custom dished piston.

Street? Race? Auto or stick? Cam, compression, gearing, tires, so many variables left unsaid. Who knows if they would be good for you. What is your plan for the engine?

It looks like they spent some money on them but didn't touch the guide boss. Lot's of room for improvement there. As for the rockers and intake, if you need to buy them anyway then the price differential isn't that great considering the increased performance potential.

What Guitar said...

What exactly are you going to do with the car? Tell us more about the 422 combo and the rest of the car.

W2's are NOT needed to make good power...

W2 are one of the greatest heads ever made for a small block inspite of the cost. I ran an 80 Dodge Mirada with a 372 inch motor with ported W2's,11.3 compretion, and 590 mopar solid stick car ran in the 10.8 at 123 to 124 mph. My current combo in my Dart has not hit the 10 yet. 416 inch max ported indybrock heads 668 lift roller cam 10.4 comp. and I have twice as much in this combo as the first one. I should have never sold the W2, buy them and find the money for the valve gear, intake, and headers you will be happy you did.

Hmmmm, that would concern me a great deal. The Mirada ran good, but something is WRONG with the current deal...it's not the lack of W2's. I'd like to know more about the combo and it's incremental times. Sorry to hijack, but something is outta whack there. Start a new thread so we can all help...
