I am installing 1968 windshield trim on my 1967 Barracuda fastback. Will I have to drill holes to mount the clips or how do you install the clips? I know I must install the clips before windshield/gasket goes on, just wondering how they attach to the body.

Thanks!
Josh

Yes you will have to drill a hole for each and attach it with a dum-dum coated screw. The dum-dum will help to prevent rust at the screw hole.

Here's the diagram. Came from someone here on the forum..can't
remember who it was.

Hope this helps.

I did this same swap & put the trim together in the opening & made sure it was slightly more out that flush. put the clip on the inside of the chrome w/o the screw & use it to guide where your going to drill the hole for the screw

The clips come with screws because they are special screws. They have a #8 diameter but only a #6 head. A standard #8 screw head is too large and will not the the stainless in the clip.
I went to town and bought #6 screws.
I used an awl to punch the holes to size after drilling a 1/16" pilot hole.
All that aint necessary , just the way I do things.
