My tiny shop isn't insulated and is almost impossible to get so I've been stuck inside after work for the lady couple weeks.
Being I'm the house bored my mind is coming up with all sorts of projects with the junk I have laying around for summer.
The hilights are magnum v10 swapping my 79 d200.
Turbocharging the magnum 5.9 already in my d200.
Build my own headliner for my dart.
Cutting the wheel openings larger on my dart kind of like the hemi dart.

Buy an early a body and magnum 5.9 swap it to build a daily driver for the wife.

Buy a 71-74 amc javelin and build a nice hot rod.

Buy an AMC eagle and v8 swap it.

Magnum 5.9 swap my cj 7.

Man I need some warm weather before I go insane.

The v10 swap may be a good idea though.
That let's me put the mild rebuilt 5.9 in my dart.

Hmmm

I wish i had your motivation.. i have heat in my garage and i can't seem to get moving to do a single thing when winter hits, i just want to eat and sleep at this point.. Soo many things i need to do on my car too...

BTW.. take a look on FBMP for c-bodies.. the deals on them are still amazing.. there is a '65 300 near me that is silly clean with factory buckets/floor shifter for $7500.. If you like cruisers though.. not much of a hotrod. :)

I will some day own a c body convertible but I have to either finish or sell the dart,d200,cj7 and arrow pickup before buying one.

I don't really gave that much motivation. I just hate my day job in an office so actually building stuff with my hands is therapy for me.
I'm a sick unit. If I don't work on the overwhelming majority of every aspect of a project car I kind of feel like a poser.
So that and my budget keeps me buying junk that other people wouldn't and fixing it.

Yeah, you have a few projects already.. I just have 1.. I'm a morning person and til about 2pm i'm all go go go.. by the time i leave work though i'm all no no no...

Redo front and rear suspension in my 70 `cuda. It's too stiff.
Rebuild engine for Krusty. It's too broken.
Clean and prep my 67 for racing next spring. It's too dirty.
Go shooting, at least once a week. It's too much fun.

I'm in upstate New York, so I get it. My biggest project idea is figuring out how to insulate and heat my garage so I can work out there in the winter. Working outside is a bust until spring...

Bring all your projects down here to sunny S E Tx, I will rent you a room for $2000/month, ($3000 with 1 meal a day), I will throw in a case of cheap beer, and you can work under the shade and protection ( unless a thunderstorm) of a big pine!!!!!! We have no garage! The compressor sits outside under a HF tarp!   :confederateflag:

Not sure where you are at in PA or what "almost impossible to get" means but you HAVE to have a shop you can work in all winter. its a necessity for the insanity problem. I am in Erie Pa and plans and lists only go so far. lol First project is a workable heated garage. Unless this is your last winter in PA you probably have many more to go so every fall you will be dreading winter. trust me. The funds from any of the projects above should go a good ways toward your goal.

I'm in clarion county. Not that far from you. I worked in edinboro years ago.
Since 2020 until recently I spent my winter spare time remodeling an investment house.
So I wasn't that bored in the winter.
The next 50 degree day Ill be doing some insulating in my little shop and sealing gaps.
Being all steel it chills quick and is hard to heat.

I say forget all that other garbage and get out there and turbocharge the V10 and stick it n the d200. Then drive it out here and sell it to me!

Edited;
It’s a 79 I can’t do anything with it in California. Booooo

Am I crazy? Just stock v10 swap in the 79 doesn't seem that tough. I've got the entire 96 ram still complete for a donor.
I hauled a lot of hay with that ram and it never noticed it was loaded.
