I'm sure someone knows if the 1974 Dodge Dart wiper blade was silver or blace
metal
I ordered a pair, and they just arrived. The are black metal
Bought from Wiper Blades USA
Best

$21 for the pair shipped
I thought they should be silver. on another
site they sold them but for $20+ each
and they were silver
I already sent an email to the company

I'm not being snarky but all the wiper blade frames for a 74 dart on that website are black. Classic industries has a number of options, cost more but you sometimes get what you pay for

IC that. I thought they were just using a standard
photo. When you ask for a year, I would think they
would be selling the OE..
and I have seen the CI page after I made my order
same brand Trico
I'm going to call wiperbladeUSA today and see
if they will make a change and also to include the
silver model to their list.
Thanks for info

My guess is the wipers USA is focused on modern cars, MANY more of them then ours.

They sell a part that will fit and do the job but is not OE correct.

I got black store brand ones and painted them. originally did them in aluminum, but resprayed with Krylon stainless. I do have original frames in 15 and 16 inch if I ever get the right refills As far as I can tell 16 is actually correct originally and from what I saw Advance doesn't have a 15 in this style
Cinnamon 75 Duster \

Again, I've seen were 15" was original..
I actually think I have the originals some place
I'm gong to call, if I don't like the answer I'll
looking into removing the black, if it's possible..
Boy this posting has drawn some attention...

just an update.
the wiper blade they sent me is a 15 30-150
Trico
the (OEM) silver (SS) is a
15 33-150 per Trico web site...
the 30-150 is a metal frame, but
don't know if they are both the same.
I'm not opening the package until I talk
with the company WiperbladesUSA

This is one of those tidbits that not many people on the internet forums seem to know a lot about. No idea why. There are many posts about the right shade of engine color or correct air cleaner, but not much on original wipers and blades.

I've only looked at Chrysler part books 67 through 1970 or so. Those years A-bodies got 15" blades either Trico or Anco. Those ANCO blades have two wiper retaining 'claws' and one (or both) is removed by depressing a pushbutton to install a new 'refill'. There's a few threads about these. The Trico blades I don't know anything about other than the p/n and that A-bodies did not get them in 1967.

Some of the parts books describe the blades as 'single bridge' and 'double bridge' which I believe is what I called 'claws'. Trico is the 'single bridge' and and ANCO the double.
