I have 1974 Dodge Dart Sport that I am trying to get back on the road.

I had tested the wipers 3 weeks ago and they have worked. Out of no where they stopped working.

I had my dad over today since he is my classic car knowledge base.

He brought out is multi meter and we went to testing.

We figured on the plug, out the black and red wire are hot but we dont know what the green and blue wire do. We took off the cap and manually turned the motor which does spin and turn the wipers. We took a multi meter to the 3 brushes and found that two were getting voltage and the one was a ground. We also tested the ballast resistor it that was functioning as it should. Nothing appears to be broken.

Im knowledgeable enough to understand how the power gets to the motor but Im running out of ideas what to test. Is there a common fail point? Could it be the switch?

Thanks in advanced for the advise.

Basically

Google "Chrysler master tech video" and a key word like " wipers'

They are corny but are so clear and to the point.

Some of the videos are from the 50 or early 60s but still relevant to late 60s and 70s cars
