71 duster slant car

my old wiper worked , I replaced because driving around the country this summer and want new everything , plus I replaced the seals to keep water out of the car .

so brand new wiper motor doesn’t work. Any thoughts ?

Without a lot more info (pics, etc..) I'll throw a guess at you. There is a ground strap on the wiper motor mounting. The wiper switch may need to be properly grounded also.

I did not replace the switch or disconnected it . There is the ground strap on the motor but I’ll clean connection .

As Redfish said, more info needed. Replaced with same motor? 2spd motor, 3 spd? Ya cant mix n match 2spd and 3 spd....

Hmmm- it was a 3 speed motor , and new one plugs on it just as old one . Resistor is still good i I re used it for now

A 3 speed has no resistor, a 2 speed does. Where did you buy this motor? Who built it?

put the old one back on.

'71's actually use a variable speed switch if it's not the 2 speed base model.
