Hello,

I have a '66 cuda with variable speed wipers...

I drove the car to work and they will not turn off, I was able to get them to stop if I fudge with the switch just right; but when they were off I heard a thermostatic device (I assume a circuit breaker for the wipers) click on and off...

What should I look at - is it the switch or motor - any troubleshooting tips?

I should have sent the motor to Jules when I did the rest of them...; but I was already getting 4 others done...

Thanks in advance...

with my experince with the 66 valiant, not shutting off is a grounding issue, mine would go all the time until I took the battery cable off. I cleaned up where the switch grounds to the dash pannel and it didn't help so I ran another ground and it solved the problem, no Idea why it started it out of the blues. might possibly be your switch but do a free ground test first

Good idea on a ground tester. Otheriwse it is a bad switch, bad wires AKA wires crossed during assembly or rotted out and touching.
