WOO HOO, new electronic ignition on the slant

I finally ended up putting electronic ignition on the slant. Found a guy on craigslist selling a Mopar Performance kit for $150.

Set up went good except i failed to notice they put the hod down bracket bolt hole in the distributor in a different place.

I marked the bracket where the bolt went and put the other one on, and it ended up 30 degrees advanced with no more adjustment.

I thought i got it a tooth off so i advanced it a tooth, and ended up at 5 degrees retarted, grrrrr, so i pulled it out again, and just happened to glance at the old distributor bolt hole, hmmm.

Loosened the bolt and moved the plate a bit and tried again, YAY, set it at about 5 before and it runs way better, smooth and seems like more power.
 
Great result. I went with a home-made HEI setup on my slant for ~$60 in parts including a new distributor. I expect you still must run the ballast and a factory coil w/ the Mopar kit.
