Hi folks,
I hope you're all busy preparing for Christmas and the many gifts you'll be exchanging under the tree.

I have a question for the LSD experts: I installed a limited-slip differential in my 8.75 axle (489 casting), and I'm using Castrol Transmax Limited Slip LL 75w140 oil. I'm getting some creaking noises when cornering, so I ordered some "Yukon Limited Slip Friction Modifier" additive.

I just received two small bottles, but I don't know how much to put in the axle: one bottle? Half? Both? Do I add a little and keep adding until the noise disappears, or until the noise is "acceptable"? Do you have any tips, or could you tell me from experience how much to use?

Thank you in advance for your insightful advice, and I take this opportunity to wish this forum and its members a happy holiday season. :thankyou:

Edit: I guess that a breaking in period should be considered as normal. Friends suggest me to pour half a bottle (2 Oz), and do the "8" pattern on an empty parking lot. I think I'll do that as a first step, and see what happens then.

You'll have to suck 4 ounces out first.... then put a bottle in.
