The tabs wouldnt have to be welded, they go on the lower shock bolt. Check out this page of Tonys thread (Vic Storm). IT has some nice shots on the tabs
I had the EXACT SAME problem with mine and had to tack them in. What a pain in a$$ it was for something that should have taken all of 5 minutes to complete
Very nice! With as fast as youve been getting that Dart to where it is Im surprised you have time to let the paint dry before putting them on. I just love your car!!!
I looked into getting Hemi coversion heads for the 440 in my 66 Barracuda from Stage V (you dont even wanna know the cost lol) and there is NO WAY theyd fit. Id love to see or read about what all was done if someone did fit a hemi in an early a
I went with KYB shocks as well 890 torsion bars and it has a nice firm feel even with the added weight of the 440. Firm but not too tight. Thing thing with headers is that the easiest route is to go fenderwall but that just isnt my cup of tea. I went with schumacher tri-y headers but I did have...
Its looking GREAT!! Im going to have an extra hood here shortly and had been trying to decide what to with it. I cant wait to see full car pics from different angles when you get it out of the garage. AWESOME JOB!!
Im really anxious to see it when its all done!!!! I say just add a prop rod of a junkyard car to solve the issue of the extra weight. A purist wont even notice it to complain, they will be too busy bending your ear about the hood :)
The hump and emblem look good! Hang in there my friend, thing will get to moving quicker for you soon Im sure. I cant wait to see that beauty back on the road after all of your hard work!
If you dont get the info you need I could snap a few pics of my doors (the panels are off now) and send them so you can see what it looks like all together. If that doesnt help Im also in NE Ohio (Parma hts) and you could come take a look if you want. Best of luck!
Glad to see that you are getting some time to work on the 66 again Tony, I know youve been chomping at the bit. Looking forward to seeing that hump all done my friend!
Looking GREAT!! Now that you are in the home stretch when are you planning that trip to Cleveland to do your magic on my 66? lol Looking forward to vid when you get it up. Again, well done!!!!
I know exactly what you mean my friend. The infamous catch 22.... when you have the $ you dont have the time and when you have the time you dont have the extra $. Hang in there, heres to hoping it breaks loose soon!
Tony, the best part about our builds is the only schedule we need to keep to is the one we impose on ourselves. Seems they are always getting "adjusted" depending on what life brings our way each day. Things start moving along fast when we least expect it.
I havent seen many dash pads that didnt have cracks, and the ones that didnt were pretty expensive. With mine, Im filling the cracks and getting it nice and smooth and covering the whole thing with leather. Was yours missing or is it still laying around?
I really cant wait to see some pics! Its for sure a nice find just based on how rare it is. I just dont know that I could drive around in a pink fish, you are a better man than I!!!!
