You can get that same rebuild kit at RockAuto for a lot less. Right now it's $5.16. Dorman part # 425-253.

As for the torsion bars, if the car came with a/c and no one has swapped them, it will have 318 bars already. They're still not 340 bars, but they're better/bigger than regular non-a/c torsion bars.

I still want to know what this $600 kit was and what all it included. I was looking again today, most of them are around $250 with almost everything, and minus a pitman arm. I'm still going to piece mine together for less with good parts.

I'm going to piece mine together also, but even the kits I've priced weren't anywhere near $600, not sure where you're looking for that price. Unless you're including anti-sway bars & torsion bars in that price.

You don't have to get the whole vehicle, just find one in a PnP and rip the front end out of it, haul it home, rebuild it wherever you have room, then roll it under the car when it's done.

Probably about the cheapest and minimum way would be Schumacher mounts and Scarebird front disc brake conversion, then just add some bigger torsion bars and you should be ok on that front. However, unless it's already been done, your front suspension really should be rebuilt. So then you could...

I don't doubt it. You've said it numerous times in this thread so you've been heard. For me, I don't feel like putzing around with all that right now, so for me the best option was ESPO. They get great reviews, most seem to like the quality, I'm sure they'll be a fine option for me as well as...

Just ordered new 1" over stock 6 leafs from ESPO for just over $300 shipped. Not even worth considering bothering with re-arching for that price.
