Do not waste any time, money or effort on anything else but the factory dual snorkel hood. If anything I would try to locate the two single scoops for your car or a knock off shaker.

Hopefully the frame mounts aren't rotten. Those can be very expensive if the body mounts are shot. Good buy otherwise.

I would assume the trans is from the same year of vehicle and has most if not all of the electronics? I ran my 2008 Mega Cab for some time without the 4x4/2x4 switch. I would think it would be the same. Just don't put the switch in! Is he using the cluster and all the other electronics?

Gloss black but break up the last 1/3 of the stripe on the quarters with a forward slant break that slowly increases! My 2 cents.
