i threw in a acc boss hog 2600 stall (duster 360 w/904 trans) you can buy weighted or un weighted (i bought weighted and used the ole 318 torque plate) stall is high enough to launch but low enough to drive around easily. reasonably priced as well

perfect timing for this thread, as im throwin a shift kit on this weekend or possibly friday. (bottom seal is leakin anyhow soooo) i will post a reply n tell if i notice anything. right now 1-2 is really slow, and i bein all this new found power i cant wait for it to shift

on the face where the rim matches up? none that i noticed but i will take a closer look. i know somethings not right because there is a wheel spacer between the drum and axle shaft, boy i wanta have a talk with the guy who owned this car before me :banghead:

no not women, sorry. someone said my back tires were wobblin around, and being that they are cast aluminum rims i would imagine the axles are bent. im also going through bearings pretty fast so, instead of new rims and tires i want to fix this first. 83/4 with 9 inch drums, but i want to measure...

2000 is wimpy... prolly go with the boss hog and wait on a flexplate so ill end up with 2200 to 2800 stall dam schools got me savin money!! haha

after reading that and thinking a bit i came up with this. 2200-2800 stall only 241, and i dont need a new plate or.. the bm plate and hughes 2000 stall for 60 more so basically its weather or not i wont to use that stock plate..

so i called acc boss hog and the weighted convertor that will work best for my car is 470 bucks. and it will use the stock flexplate. (4200 stall) the other option is the bm plate and hughes convertor. about $310 (best, more tougher bet, but only 2000 :banghead: stall) the lower stall boss...

dropping a 360 from a 87 dodge pickup into my duster that has a 904 under it, taking out the 318 i get flabbergasted when i try looking up torque converters do i need a flexplate or the converter with the ring on it or..... i have yet to figure this out and i need some smart fabo help :newb...

x2 there are valve bodies that are manual only, but takes a lot less time to change gears also you would need a clutch pedal and on a auto car mite have to move the brake pedal over :sign3:

there is a seal before the bearing, when you pull the shaft out it will still be in the axle tube. mine had a bad bearing and leaked threw a new bearing in it and doesnt leak anymore, and there is two seals on the "green" bearing and another on the plate with 5 holes in it new bearing is like...

my 73 duster once was a 340 with 4 on the floor but some dude decided a 318 with a 727 tranny was better :protest: . however the spedo is not working and i believe its not even hooked up. is it possible to hook it right up even with a different tranny in it? how do i accomplish this? thanks
