I wanna give you all a little heads up. I work in a very well known body shop that has done quite a few 4 month complete bare metal to show paint jobs and my advise is to find a shop that specializes in restoration work. We do all insurance work anymore because it’s fast easy money. Unless you...
Damn. Good deal. We should start a thread to see if anyone else has had that many problems with their demon. My 72 fought me every nut and bolt during its resto. My 71....cake
I think they re gonna have some paint issues down the road. I paint everyday and I ve seen a lot of newer vehicles come in that have aluminum panels and the paint s blistering because of corrosion. Ford lift gates and hoods seem to be the worst. But hey....look at the rust through on the steel...
I find it hard to believe that grand Spaulding numbered the 72 gss cars like that. Back thwn they didn t care about stuff like that. They re all about cranking them out for the money. I ve always heard they had problems with the paxton cars. Mostly bc of the floats but they are still my favorite.
This in an old thread but the stamped "60" is probably there because the model of the supercharger is an SN60. I have an n.o.s. kit. I d have to look at it but that is my guess

I left two dusters for dead bc I didn t see light at the end of the tunnel. my 71 demon was the first car I ever finished. don t put time limits on yourself. that just adds more pressure to the process. the 72 demon I m doing now...I put no time limit on and I enjoy every second of it. its been...
i have a pache i believe (probably murdered the spelling) but i like it. i have only done a few things but its fun. i recommend a dual action brush. they re a little trickier to get used to but if you don t know the difference you re ok anyway. they offer a little more control with your...
bad ***. i ve been making lighted box signs lately to help fund my kids demon 340 build. if anyone is interested in one...pm me. i can have them made in any size you want, but my standard size is 20"x 15".
i use muratic acid as well. take less than 20 minutes on light rust like whats on your gears. wash well with soapy water and baking soda to help neutralize the acid. lube em up right away to keep em from rusting again.
muratic acid has a nasty habit of your parts starting to flash rust after...
