Simple way around it....Montana LLC....permanent plates on anything over 10 years old. No smog...not tax.

Find it hard to believe that tail pipes will not fit....have seen that oval tubing used on several vehicles to get pipes thru some very tight spots.....

Neighbor I helped in NJ years ago with his drag car had his headers Jet Hot coated. Never had a single problem with them....until some knucklehead kicked them off the trailer at the track one day when said knucklehead had to replace a head gasket...the damage to the finish was minimal. Was nice...

Somewhere on here is an a-body with a 69 Mustang tank in it. Took a bit of a frame to be built around it but I think it would probably leave you all sorts of space for tail pipes. Of course you would have to cut the spare tire well out but.....

Just heard back from my friend....he does have to pull the trans to get the starter out....but he is also using a mid-plate. He said that with the way the TTI's wrap around the starter he thinks that even without the plate he would have to pull the trans to get the starter out...

Not a fan of fenderwell headers.....get mighty close to the master cylinder, requiring a heat shield of sorts. Have to watch what front tires you use. Exhaust, if going to use one is either just a set of mufflers outside the subframe connectors or you need to a couple of 90* turns. Ever consider...
