The frame is in good shape. The bracket rusted through at the frame where dirt settled and I'm sure over the years acid from the battery helped. I thought about grinding spot welds off and replace the whole bracket assembly from a donor car.

Getting ready to replace the tired old 7.25 rear with a 8.75 in my Son's 73 Dart Swinger.Rear springs lets car sag bad in the back. What is the best performance spring to replace them on a small block ,auto trans ,street car ? Where is the best place to get them from ?

Are there any mods that have to be done to use the C body ends?

Try the KYB shocks and larger torsion bars.That maybe all you need.If not stiffer rear springs then a front sway bar if needed.

If you can find a v-8 A Body that came with factory air they came with heavy duty torsion bars. I had a set in my 340 65 dart wagon out of a 73 duster that worked fine.
