New project 1965 dodge dart Pics

Need different bell housing, flywheel, motor mount with mounting blocks, V8 center link and drivers side exhaust manifold(can use just about anything on the passenger side). I think that should do it. Dennis

New 66 Dart owner, wanting to swap /6

Just check to make sure those headers fit with your power steering otherwise you're stuck with the iron manifold. They aren't too hard to come by. I have seen those and the drop V8 center link on here in the last month. You just gotta be quick. Dennis

Help with V8 swap on 66 Valiant

Wow! Never seen that link on here before. It's pretty good. Wish I had it when I did my swap but everyone here was a great help when needed. Even coming up with the parts. Anyway, just want to say that all 66 centerlinks are not V8's. Mine was an air conditioned six with PS but still needed...

    early a engine swap

Can you specify years that you know of? Will they work with power steering? I would think with the early A factory manifolds getting more rare, it would be of interest to a lot of people on here. I would be interested just for the knowledge sake. Thanks. Dennis

    Will a 68 Emergency Brake assembly fit a 64?

I don't understand what you mean by "assembly"? The mechanism in the car may work as far as I understand(not sure) but cables are different lengths for different years. If you look at RockAuto, they list the length for different years and body styles. I just replaced all the cables on my 66...

By the way, slantsixdan is correct. The mirror on the passenger side is just shy of being useless. I just like the "look" of it on the car. Dennis

Actually the twin posts are not side specific. I have two of them on my car. These are twin posts. Hard to find and expensive if you find a good one. Dennis

V8 swap- parts list? 66 signet, 225/904 floor shift

Here's the manifolds you will need. http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=273752 There is a story out there that some sixes came with V8 center links but I have never seen one so you will need drop center link. You might want to modify your trans cross member unless you go...

    64-66 Valiant vinyl top trim

Sorry. Couldn't find them at the moment but here are some pics as it was on my car when I got it. I see 2manymopars pics show a 2 door sedan or post model if you will. Looks like there may be differences between it and a hardtop(mine). Or maybe since mine is a Signet or something but here ya...

    64-66 Valiant vinyl top trim

I have all the parts somewhere in my garage. I will try to get some pics for ya. My avatar still has the one at the rear on it if you can make...

    New carpet

After closer inspection, 396 Signet is correct. The original carpet was sewn also. The stitches were covered with the rubber/plastic material and I thought they were "faked" in. I actually pulled a corner up and they are real stitches. All in all tho, I still am happy with my purchase...

    New carpet

Just an update since I think a couple of others were following this thread. I did buy from RockAuto and it was ACC when it arrived. Found out that ordering the Signet will get you "dots" on the heel pad and ordering the Valiant will get you the "ribbed" heel pad. The heel pad was welded in place...

    New carpet

Just for the record. I just ordered from RockAuto. As 2 Darts said, it looks like most of these vendors use ACC as does StockInteriors and RockAuto but with the discount, they were $30 cheaper than most everyone. I really appreciate all the input from everyone because "the devil is in the...

    New carpet

One little thing I have noticed. All of the web sites for carpet vendors list a Valiant and a Signet. Anyone have any idea of what the difference might be? Same prices and all but actually do have different numbers. I'm kinda puzzled. I thought a Signet was just a trim package so to speak for a...

LBP brakes on an Early A

The struts run from the from the lower control arms and the frame and you don't change the lower control arms so no need to change struts. I guess you are referring if you were to change the K member. Dennis

Not according to this. From http://www.valiant.org/fix.html . " The 1960 and 1961 station wagons use a different tank. All 1962s use a different tank, 1963s use another different tank, and 1964 and 1965 use the same tank, but different than all previous years." I can verify that the 66 uses...

    Early-A Exhaust Manifold Bracket- V8

That's cool! I can see where some extra bracing could be handy right there. With the length of the exhaust manifold going down through the engine compartment, I can see where some over zealous wrencher could get some leverage on it and break it. Or maybe a hard bash on the exhaust system...

    273 motor mounts --- source?

You should take look at my link. I know what it says they fit but I have a pair of them on my 66 Valiant and they fit with no mods or problems. They sure look like the pic you posted. One way to see is if you still have your old slant mounts, take the passenger side and make up a wood dummy of...
