Ignition

Petronix Ignitor II or III with matching coil . This eliminates the ballast . For the street get the vacuum advance unit .

Also the FBO system, bypasses the ballast resister also and is a plug and play into a stock electronic module harness.

OK, you have a street stripper. Cool.
IMO, you would want the vacuum advance as to help with a cruise. Be it down to 7-11 for coffee and bread or out to Bellmore, Oakdale for a showing. It will help mileage and help deliver good street manors.
Performance will not be limited.

Ok awesome.. thanks for the info.really appreciate it

Unless you enjoying spend a lot of cash, look at the $45 Ningbo ready-to-run distributor (ebay, Steve White Perf and others). Many posts here. Add an e-core coil for hottest spark. But, the red or yellow guys are happy to take your money.

MSD ignitions don`t use a ballast resistor either. I have run MSD`s on 4 diff hotrods, 1/drag only, 3 street n strip cars, and never had a problem w/ any of them. Hunt the best price on anyone tho!
