Sadly, no.:cry:. I am thinking whenever I get some spare cash for a master cylinder, I might do the brakes. Just cuz I can. Imma also see if I can get a 5/16" pipe bender so I can run the hardline to my carbdisgust. I keep bending the stupid things up and pinching em.](*,) I need some opinions on if I should just redo all the brake lines too. Someone said they are prone to rustin away though they looked okay to me when I was under it. My metal fuel lines were good, I replaced the rubber parts though. Replace the brakelines or will they be okay for now?? I also have to buy new bleeders just to be sure I can bleed the brakes when they are done.

If you need to make minor bends in your metal fuel line just use a piece of pipe to curve the fuel line around, that will keep it from pinching, it works just like a pipe bender if you use the right size pipe..

the last bend between the A/C compressor the front of the carb is weird. its difficult to get it to bend that tightly. I am just gonna borrow one from a friend just so I dont have to waste cash on pinching anymore. :tongue7:

Probably a good idea if it's tight angles, I've never owned a bender, I've bent so many I can do it with my hands, damn bro I'm gettin' old...

I wouldn't say that, I've pinched a many.. If you have any old lines laying around pratice, you'll get the hang of it you can feel with your hands how much the line is pinching as you're bending on it, some bends I use a pipe, round stick of wood or whatevers handy...
 
When you do bending by hand, don't just grab it in one spot and bend a 90. Start at the beginning of the bend and move along the curve gradually, then restart at the begining of the bend again and bend it a little tighter along the bend again. It spreads the stress of the metal out, instead of placing it all in one spot, causing it to kink.
I hope it sounds clear enough....
 
Thanks for the tips jrlegacy and greenhornet. I am definately gonna have to try those if I can't get access to a pipe bender next time I am down at my Dart.
 
A little heat goes a long way making tube easier to bend. Even a propane torch will be enough. There are plenty of small hand held benders for cheap. I bend my lines using a vise,tubing bender and a propane torch. I clamp the bender in the vise.
 
I have used sockets before. but tough with just 2 hands, holding socket and pipe.
Till I bought a bender for like $5. cheap but works fine.

thats a problem too. It took me forever to get my gas tank up because I had no one that wanted to help at the time:angry7:

Good help is hard to find, just wait until your laying on your back trying to put a transmission in by yourself, fun--fun..

Ahh yes!! Been there a few times.Laying under a car with a tranny on your chest is fun! I'd bench press iut up with my arms and then get the tailshaft up with my legs/feet. Try not to drop it on your head!

Im always on my own putting stuff under cars. It's an unpleasant job most folks dont like,so a floor jack is your best friend.At least it wont flake out on you.

I have a floor "trolley". The small style floor jacks. I definately need to upgrade as some point but it does its job damn well for now for $35 in a set with jackstands. lol

I've been there before on the transmission thing. While working down at the local shop, my coworker bailed on me midway through pulling an old Chevy 3 speed. He was holdin up the crossmember and just let go as we were lowering it down, ouch.. Luckily it was most of the way down. I just rolled it off my chest. I couldnt imagine having to do that with a 904. Yikes!:axe:

You mentioned switching to electronic ignition so this might be helpful. It is much more up to date than my set dated 1981. You can use any year electronic ignition distributor but I suggest a 4 pin ecu and matching 2 pin ballast resistor.

I went down to my friend's Kris's house and while looking at all his Dad's Mopar parts saw a headlight bucket he had left over from his truck. I told him I really needed one and asked if he'd wanna trade something for it or if I could do some house work and get it off him. He just gave it to me! :cheers: So be looking for an update soon of me installing my headlight buckets and my grille pieces from Racekilla 8) Thanks again dude! You rock :D

mike i still have those headlight buckets from a 70 dart and you can get them in jefferson ga PM me if u still want them

I am all good dude. Thanks for the offer though! 8) I only needed one, the other one I had was bent all to hell. How you been? I haven't heard from you in a while. I still need to go and pick up that 904 and crossmember from middle GA. Damn gas pricesdisgust I need a lot of stuff from down there. Also need to visit Bruce while Im down there just to pay him a long overdue visit.:glasses7:
 
i've been doing pretty good been workin at a restoration/speed shop spend most of my time there. if you change your mind on the buckets just let me know
