Show your age and lets see the things you might be a little scared to show you enjoyed back in the day :toothy7:

Going to bring the 70'es and doing what was fun but dumb to some young guns here :toothy7: Jump in and laugh if you like but we had our days and enjoyed them... Me first ..

I may regret this :toothy7:

As the days got hot and it was time to get back in the fields this song was so cool in the day, Yep I may have not went to school, but I did go to ministry school as a young boy learning to read and meet new people other then my family
Music was a life saver back in the day and I enjoy it still today.
All music, But I do prefer old rock and music that brings back great memories

Happy friday Mike!
Mary thinks its so funny that I can flashback to what was happening in my like when ever a song come on the radio. On sat and sun mornings the local radio plays the top 20 song from years ago on the monthly date. Anywhere from 1968-1984.

Here are some from different music stages in my life.

It started to get good when I discovered KISS as a ten year old in 1976.
I wont add all the zep and floyd just some of the changes in my taste.

Then came some wild things in life as I grew and moved away

Back when I was about 16 and finishing concrete and operating some equipment a man told me about making memories of my own and keep making them, Making memories and forgetting anything negative is the way for us to go, It makes me smile to ta look back, so it must be a good thing Artie :toothy7:

I will second that,Kevin.
Third that Keven :eek:ccasion::eek:ccasion::eek:ccasion:
And hearing rain hit the deck outside sure is a good thing here on the hill for a change :eek:ccasion:

Mike, you're 100% right about how music brings back so many memories. I think of a good friend that passed way too soon a few years ago whenever I hear "Spirit In The Sky" - that was the song that played at the end of his funeral. The first comment from those there was, "Turn it UP!". Brought a smile to everyone at a time of sadness.
I'm always amazed at what music can do with your memory. My wife and I commute to work together because we only work a couple of miles apart. We listen to an 'oldies' station in the morning and a country station on the way home in the afternoon.
A couple of mornings ago they played "The Sounds of Silence" by Simon and Garfunkel. Now I challenge anyone to just recite all the words to this song without the music playing in the background. But add the music and suddenly you remember every single word and can sing along even though you may not have heard this song in 20 years.
Oh, and great pick with Janis Joplin's "Me And Bobby McGee"! One of my all-time favorites.

Hey Memike, that drum duel is way cool but I was lucky enough to see them go at it in person here in Indy at the old Market Square Arena back in the mid 80s during the Genesis "Mama" tour and believe me the video doesn't do the performance justice. One of the most incredible musical events I have ever witnessed, and I have been to a lot of concerts.
Phil is just a great showman, and Chester aint bad either!:supz::supz::supz:

most of the guys I hung around with were older, so I was in elementary school listening to Black Sabbath, Aerosmith, BTO,,etc

Memike, thought of you today when "Boogie Wonderland" by Earth, Wind, & Fire came on the car radio. I was 19, those were fun times, walking up to the club and hearing the beat coming through the walls, and drinking Long Island Tea's ($6 dollars was expensive but you only needed one.) I don't know how to post videos but you know what I'm talkin about "Disco Mike."

Wow that brings back alot of memories! Life seemed so much simplier back then.Memike, like your taste in music, still have alot of albums from the 70's.My first album was The Beatles White Album. One of my all time fav.s Stairway To Heaven and can't forget the entire Woodstock album.Liked going to the local fair and listening to Black Sabbath blaring on the speakers.Fav. movie American Graffiti,Vanishing Point and the oh so famous question."Where were you in 62?" I was just starting school then.

It's funny how when you hear song you remember certain things.

Heard this one on a commercial the other night and told my wife the year
and that I remember being at 4H camp that year.

Anybody remember this from 1970?
Check out the side burns.
