I hate it, I feel so betrayed and insulted.
I have never despised a dodge vehicle as much as this new "dart".
I think they screwed up badly, they decided to ride the coattails of the new charger and challenger, decided "lets make a compact car...and use a nostalgic name like we did before to sell it"..

Looks nothing like a dart to me, looks like a damn fiat.
and you take away from the older darts in releasing this pos.

Fail dodge, fail....

Oh, don't get upset. Dodge never wanted a retro Dart. They just wanted to use the Dart name because they were the economy car that Dodge had to offer. That's what the new Dart is. tmm

So don't hold back tell us how you really feel.If you think about all the car names out there I'm begining to think its a huge challenger to come up with a new name and chrysler already owns dart/charger/challenger/avenger/300 and on and on.so they reuse what they already own.Like the 80's charger that thru alot of ppl for a loop.Same reason gm used gto on a front wheel drive. The new camero should have been called a mini-vette(by the looks).just saying, continue with tho rant.:toothy8:

Ya could be worse, they could made it some pos 4cyl from the lates 80,earlys 90s and named it a Duster

I wish they would do a retro look to it like they did with the Challenger, Mustang and Camaro. It would fly out of showrooms if they stuck to the classic styling and look, but updated it some to appeal to the younger crowd...

A fuel injected slant six with a turbo would be cool too!

stopped by the local dodge dealer to look at one today on the lot it was red with sunroof and 6 spd looked roomy enuf inside but i think it looks like a focus from the front and a mini charger from the back base price showed 17,500 by the time they got done with it was 25k and change no way i,d pay that much for that car

I would have been completely fine with it IF they had made an SRT4 option. the turbo model is on a fiat based engine so it doesnt count. Maybe after all the negative feed back dodge will get from this car they'll produce an SRT4 model next year. *fingers crossed*

I haven't really seen any negative feedback other than on FABO.

ok, to be honest, I haven't really seen any feedback other than on FABO.

just kinda wondering if there has been any road tests/magazine articles on it yet?? not that i am at all interested in the car.......just kinda wondering......

...who gives a flying f$%#??
yep....

Looks exactly like a Dart to me. An economical, 4 door, people mover.

Remember, the 4 door, slant 6 was the Dart of choice for the masses.

i don't care that they put the dart name on something like that car. i never thought it would look like an old dart.

i just dont like the car. its ugly. looks like a focus if you ask me. the needed a gas mileage car but they could have been a little more original with it..

its a renamed neon, just like chevy changed the cavalier to the cobalt, and ford changed the escort to the focus...... its just to get rid of the bad reputation of the previous cars. Just fyi, i do think a 2 door version would be cool however

Im sure the Swinger edition is in the works. Maybe GT or GTS. I think its cool. Face it, if they built a Dart like the old ones, no one in their right mind would buy one.

I think it looks like a modern economy car. It is different enough from the others in the pack that it is easily identified as a Dart and not another manufactor's model.

My biggest hope it that it is a reliable model. If this thing turns into another K car with poor reliability, Dodge (and Chrysler in general) may go the way of the Desoto. They have put a lot of eggs in the basket on this.

As for performance, they do have a srt model coming but it will be a 6 cylinder.

i actually kinda like it, i also like the new ford focus as well...41 MPG sounds intriguing....

I saw one up close at the Mopar Nats last week, like others have said my first thought was "that thing looks like a Ford Focus"!!! I hope it's a decent car though. For what it is anyway. My brother and cousin drove Dodge Shadow's for years, they were crude but very reliable cars, and the Neons that I know of weren't bad like after 98-99 or so.
