I would like to have one of these air cleaners. Does anyone know where they can be bought?

That appears to be a Edelbrock Elite series limited run air cleaner.
Your basicly SOL on it. Good luck in your hunt.
All the parts for it are still available except the base. So maybe a custom made bottom can be done?

Some fellas here have a similar air cleaner dubbed "Mr. Norms" 6pack air cleaner for sale in that forum.

I have looked at the Mr. Norms for sale here and they aint cheap. Lol. Hoping to find something a little easirer to find a filter for.

You need to find and borrow a base plate to copy a d create your own custom unit.

That is not a bad idea rumblefish. I have plenty of sheet matal to make a base with. I would just have to figure out what to do about a top. Any ideas?

Maybe I could make a flat top, paint it and put on six pack decals. Nah, I want a shiny lid.

I have seen similar though not exact units on street rods. I'll bet you could find something like it at one the street rod suppliers.

The aftermarket six pack air cleaners I see are a few inches longer than the dualquads.

It seems as though if they are sold somewhere they would show up on some of the sites that sell the billet stuff. Pretty strange.

Make your lid and have LeAnna at PCS powder coat it in a hi luster chrome like coating. But before you coast on over to talk to the Cudachick, think about what you want to have the top look like with possible designs. Once she powder coats it........

I am going to think on this for a while and see if I can come up with an idea.

Thats not the factory spec air filter. It looks like the one ford used in the early 60's.Same spec carbs with the exception the mopar rear car is (I think) 1/2" closer where the ford is spaced evenly. If you or someone you know can tig weld aluminum you can cut the rear opening in the base and move it 1/2" forward and drill a hole in the lid to match up.Look for the tri-power forn breather they are ALOT cheaper than the mopar ones.
BTW a HUGE issue with going this route is the breather sits ALOT higher and you will have to run a hood scoop, however they sale 1 3/4",2 1/4" and 3" tall filters for these so you may get by with the shortest one but I cant say for sure.
Here is a link to the ford one.The thunderbird script is optional.

If you need the part number and location to get the ford stuff pretty cheap me and my dad just got has mustang setup installed last month. Not sure of the final price but it was atleast halve the price of mopar.I have a six pack on my car but I prefer the mopar look personally.

Fram still sells the filter for Mr. Norms air cleaners.
I have a Mr. Norms hanging on the garage wall for 20 years now.

I did not know you could still buy the filter for the Mr. Norms. Good to know.

Any chance you know what the number is? I think this has been kicked around on here, with no difinative answer. Most filters we've come up with have to be finessed some. Do you know which one is a drop-in without any mods done to it?

I did a Tri-Power air cleaner assembly for j-miller a couple years back and it's loaded as far as I know. Send him a PM and I'm sure he'll hook you up with the part number for the filter. He's a great guy!

P.S. Thanks for the kudos Rob. :-D
