Do you beleave in Aliens ?

-
Nope, no Klingons, Vulcans, or Romulans. No Men in Black monitoring alien activity here on earth. No Cylons hunting down the human race. No Minbari.

Could God have recreated elsewhere the conditions that support life here? I can only say that it is His universe and if He did, and I don't believe He did, but ...IF...He did, He has no obligation to tell us.

The scientific community has mostly discredited the theory of evolution based on what we do know about the basic laws of physics and science, that all matter tends to move from a state of stability to a state of chaos. For evolution to have any validity, matter would have to move from a state of chaos to a state of stability, and thus contradict all known scientific laws and principles. Tens of thousands of scientists the world over support this position.

Now see, it's hard to make an argument with someone who believes God made everything, because he can do anything, anywhere, at any time he wishes, so how can we say he was only able to create life where life can be supported? Right?
The other issue that's hard to deal with in a conversation about it is that apparently God can do whatever he sees fit, and not explain anything to anybody. (not that I feel he should have to or anything)
This is the "faith" part.

We had "faith" that the world was flat, and that ALL fat was bad for us too.

Everything is what it is, and isn't what it isn't.
I just don't have the faith that human kind is capable of deciding which is which without getting it a wrong, as usual.

Not arguing it with you Randy
It's just part of the overall conversation.

Again, not true at all. In fact in the scientific community, there isnt even an evolution debate. Its accepted because its been has evidence spanning multiple fields of study.

The only debate is when nimrods try to push non-science(ID/creationism/etc) into science classes.

Go for it bud its my thread and i aint stopping ya

The basics are that most everything in existance is either made round by nature, or made up of round particles.
The atom is a perfect example. (and all matter in existance is made up of different combinations of them)
Also intersetingly enough is that atoms greatly resemble minature solar systems.

One of my friends said he discovered a new planet one day, and I asked him if it was round.
He answered "Why wouldn't it be?" and I asked "Why would it have to be?"
and also asked him why all planets we have seen have ALL been round?

I noticed as I was growing up that most everything was, or was made up from round objects.
Atoms, planets, solar systems, suns, stars everything.
Therefor I decided that there must be something more to the round nature of things.
Atoms are round and have an end, (Not infinite)
Planets are round (again defined in size and not infinite)
So is the way with everything around us.(made up of round objects and not infinite.

OK ready for this one?

With all this round stuff and a definite end, or edge to it why would we not assume that it is true that space as we know it is probably round and has an edge or end? (Not infinite) as they currently say.

Also it would follow that there is probably more than one space.
Our space, the one next to it, and on and on until the edge of that group of round things.

This why I do not believe in the word infinity.
Everything has ALWAYS had an end, or edge after we learned of it.

Ok then whats the space that the round spaces in called and what is it ?

We don't have a name for that yet, because man does not know it exists.

Yep, the man fault again.
We think we know something so that's the way it must be.

but i think you could be on to some thing i think we will never know tho at lest in are life time

Ok you came up with it now name it .. aint that the way it works

If I am right, then the name would have to be (The way it is and always has been.)
We just didn't know about it yet.

I'll let some scientist name it after his dog or something.

Maybe we all are aliens.

Life on earth could have come here by asteroids from somewere else.

some bacteria and one cell lifeforms can survive space

AND of course nazis live in moon, google iron sky:)

That is a theory/concept a lot people subscribe to known as panspermia.(i love to say that word. lol)

Personally i think most life has its origin in abiogenesis, but its certainly possible that some life could have come here via space & meteors

I don't really know. But, considering the vastness of space, it's really a better bet than not that there is life out there somewhere.
Whether it's gray, green, large or small, or even if they have achieved inter-galactic travel I can't imagine, but the reality is, it's pretty far fetched to believe that in the vastness of the universe that only our little planet was able to support some sort of "life".

I agree with this. I am however, a "doubting Thomas". I don't believe aliens are going to come pick us up one day and take us to another world or "recall" us or any of that other bs. We're here for the long haul until we die and go to heaven.

I also believe that we could not possibly be the only reasoning beings in existance.
I also believe it's possible that we may eventually find out EXACTLY who or what created us and that it/they might decide to end the experiment.

Either that, or it's all just random and here we are.
