1965 Dart owners thread!

Now thats a nice car, tell me more.

Thanks Vart. 65 Valiant Signet, The car is showing 74k verified miles on the clock. It was built in southern Ontario with a 1964 build date and has never been winter driven. Only painted once...quickly. I bought the car in 95' and drove it for a few summers. It was an original \6 car and in 2000 I bought a 63 Valiant from MN with a 440 in it. That car was gutted of its powertrain and is very close to going in the 65. My vision of the "60's drag car look" is slowly coming into view. I have been designing the era correct graphics and hope to knock off the mechanical by summer and spend the warm months completing the paint/stripes/lettering. Rob

Your car is on kijiji...right?

Here is a picture of the Dart GT convertible I used to own for 23 years until it was time to sell it because I found a DartCharger convertible, 273x2, 4-on the floor, ps, pb, radio, front and rera bumperguards, woodgrained steering wheel, outside adjustable mirroe, N/D mirror, front seat belts. Bought it in 1984 and sold it to a gentleman in Gavle in 2007.This convertible wasone of two cars that Saab-Ana, the Swedish general agent soldnew in Sweden. The other car was destroyedin a horrible accidentback in 1967.

What color orange is that? Does the color truly fade on the sides or is that shadowing? Are the wrap around stripes from a kit? I love that vert.

Color is Omaha orange, and the bumble bee stripe is painted.
There is no fade or shadowing in the paint. Optical illusion from the
sun or camera. Glad you like it!

Here's mine before and now getting fixed after being T-boned. Gonna paint it the original Dark Blue Poly that it came with from the factory.

First.....beautiful car!

Second....did the factory really pair a Hurst with a /6?

Thank you !

Absolutely.
Hurst Shifters were used through 65.
Then the hated Inland shifter was introduced, and used from 66 to midway through 68.
Records show,my car is 1 of 23 built, with its combo.
