What are they worth? Very hard to fine? What was the Fender Tag code for these?

What would a fair price to pay for a set?

Any pictures of them on cars?

RK

in 68 on Barracuda it was code 588 on broadcast sheet. Cost was 46.55 plus 10.00 for dealer installation as they were shipped in trunk. I have seen them go for $1000.00 +/- they are pretty rare - unobtainium.

Those were reproduced once. I dont think the repops would bring the same money as OEM. I wouldn't know how to tell them apart either. Good luck

There was an option wheel house liner (insert) to help prevent snow and such from getting into the fender wells, they only came in red. I think they were only optioned for Barracuda's in 68 and 69. From what I can find out they will only show up on B-cast sheet not the fendertag.

And there were not available on the convertible. I had a set in my sights and found that out.

I resized this to make it smaller. The notchback is on the left, convertible is in the center and fastback is on the right.

You just never know. I have found some parts at swapmeets and bought them right because no one knew what they were. I am sure I have walked by a bunch of treasures that I didn't know what they were also.

There's a guy in S. Seattle with a bb 67 F/S convertible. He has a set on his car along with every other option he could find if it belonged on it or not. I might have some picture of it somewhere in my archive.

There was a white '68 383 fastback in the northeast for sale years ago that had the liners. I've seen the car in person at a show. Likely have paper pics somewhere of it?
Yes very rare, expensive, not on fender tag.
I thought I just saw some for sale somewhere?.......ok go here....I know the guy that sold these, they weren't reproduced that I know of.

I can see where they would help with the mud and ice, but weren't they mainly offered as dress up item to make the car stand out or a little more "loud" looking? That would be the reason for the red color, everything was crazy in 68-69 lol!

I have a set for the rear never able to find any for the front came with my 68 cuda I bought in 1981

Yep, a dress up item. in the mid 80's at the Mopar Nats was the first time I saw a car with these installed. Don't remember ever seeing one of these back in the day....

Wheel house liners will reduce road noise inside the cabin also.

The red liners are very rare. The only ones I have ever seen were on the that 68 Black Barracuda that was posted above when I owned it.

I had seen some listed years ago on ebay for about $750. I think that was just for two fronts. I would bet if you could find four originals in nice condition you could expect to pay $1,500 to $2,000 on the open market.
