probably because the assholes at mopar never released a "hot rod" wire harness for the magnum motors. why not? who knows. just shows how anti enthusiast chrysler is.. and the hemi swap is expensive. tht car probably runs damn good with that mustang motor in it..

Yep!

Probably bought a wrecked mustang for $1500 and took the motor, 5 speed trans, and posi rearend and built a cool car cheap. :eek:ops:
 
Looks good to me, more aftermarket for a 5.0 than a 360 Magnum.

Just keep the hood shut and your safe.
 
No I say open the hood in front of every ford guy you can find and watch them whine!!
 
Also I just checked the weight of a fox body mustang and it looks like the dart could be a bit lighter so it might even be faster than a mustang- take that Ford boys!!
 
Why is this a tearjerker? Why can't it just be a cool build? Someone built something that isn't just an "off the shelf" typical build with a crate motor in it.
 
Should've called it a "loser cruiser". :jocolor: Meh, I'm just spoutin' off.......I've never been okay with these cross-brand swaps, unless it's like an old Studebaker with a Mopar engine etc......

It IS hard to argue with dropping in a whole late-model drivetrain for a grand or less though......it probably knocks down decent mileage and hauls ***. But I'd never do it. How can he look himself in the mirror everyday? :glasses7:
 
at least its not some smokey old small block chevy.. like every street rod out there.
not my cup of tea. but i have seen worse.
 
I'm sorry but I'm a purist.....this really bugs me....If you have the talent to install , cut, weld, fabricate, and make any motor work in any car at least stay brand loyal....If you wanted a 5.0 mustang motor go buy a mustang and keep it in there....what a waste of a beautiful car.....and to the people that say oh, yeah but its a lot cheaper.... We all know a mopar costs the largest amount to redo out of the BIG 3 and if you can't afford it Well go buy a ford or chevy then and have your cheap! And leave the mopars alone... Rant over
 
What a Waste of a perfect good a body anyone want to complain about motors, they are to lazy to find the correct parts, for the time and fabrication a nice 318 360 or 340 could have been sourced and dropped in. Hybrids Are dumb and a waste of money. Build a ford with a ford
 
I'm torn on this one. The car looks really nice, but I don't like the fact it has the Ford motor in it. BUT, that particular Ford motor is high on my list of favorite sounding engines. Would I do it that way? Probably not. Would I drive the ever living crap out of it, you bet your a$$ I would!
 
it all comes down to aftermarket support. we are wayyyyyy behind the pace. if you could get a plug and play set up for cheap you would see alot more fuel injected new hemi's and magnum engines running around in our old cars.

everyone that has the sense god gave a piss ant would know by the exhaust sound

Hopefully it was a rust bucket or was sitting around in someones property with no powertrain and the guy just did this to put it back on the road...:vom::pukerigh:
