craigslist abody tear jerker

I agree, Looks pretty nice.........but, can you imagine the inverse. A guy with a 67 Camaro with a 340 in it. In his circles he would be banned from the planet.

A buddy of mine drag raced a 69 camero with a 440 in it. Boy did the chevy hate that!!

That's retarded...... and I'm a 5.0 Fox Body fan.

Reminds me of a sweet 68 Bronco that had a 350 cheesy in it, and the dud that swapped a 350 cheesy in his 90 Ford truck....I guess its easier to go through the hassle of swapping in Chessy to have all those one wire hook ups and cheap parts than build the correct motor.

it all comes down to aftermarket support. we are wayyyyyy behind the pace. if you could get a plug and play set up for cheap you would see alot more fuel injected new hemi's and magnum engines running around in our old cars.

And be happy we can get what we can get. When I started, there was very, very little. Brake upgrades were stock larger discs and Addco sway bars, no Alterktions, Magnum Force, Edelbrock or LA-X heads, Dougs headers. TTI's only header was a big block swap header and Year One was the only place that you could get restoration parts.

the 5.0 I was like hmmm... not my first choice but, Whatever, good EFI power for cheap... if it has the 5spd, BADASS.

I was more curious about the 68 marker lights

JOE

If I was filthy rich I'd buy it just so I could show up at Ford only carshows!!!

I bet 80% of the people on this board wouldn't know the difference just by the sound without popping the hood and they have plenty of sense

****, you could take it to a local car show and 80% of people would ask you what year your Falcon was.

Nothing different is cool to FABO guys unless it has problems. Problems are what FABO posters are about.

gfood looking car id never do that but i do hope this guys bought as a shell and made it drive.......i could tell the sound of a 5.0 exhaust pretty much ull see more of those driving around here then any most look list rust piles with a exhaust system

I would gladly drive it as a daily driver even though I am mostly a purist. I could walk in to any parts store and pick up a drive train part since it is modified to something modern. I am still wanting to put a diesel in something.

I like it. The idea of being able to drive a nice older A-Body every day that has modern EFI reliability, good power and gets decent mileage is pretty damn appealing.

That said, you won't see me starting a thread about swapping a Mustang drive-train in my Dart any time soon.

Why is this a tearjerker? Why can't it just be a cool build? Someone built something that isn't just an "off the shelf" typical build with a crate motor in it.

Your right, the ford 5.0 is a rare motor indeed. I have never heard of anyone hot rodding a 5.0

F-f-f-f-f-ford? In a Mopar? Big deal. I have a GM tranny in my Dart. If you have the talent and the parts laying around, more power to you. My old 318 / 904 is going into my buddies '55 Chevy as we speak. Thinking of a license plate like FAUXPAR.

LOL!!!!

Don't forget about it not being cool unless it's Mopar. You know, because nobody else ever made any cool vehicles...:protest:

I know! Those things suck for building. Getting cheap parts from any parts store in the country must be tough to deal with.

Shoulda gone all the way and installed the mustang II 4 lug setup!.....and other "tasteful" mods.
