Get outside and check out the moon, it's awesome!!! I'm at the cabin tonight sitting lakeside by a fire roasting hotdogs :glasses7:

I took some pics but can't post them right now, but it's a clear night and the moon lights the whole place up nice, reflection over the water is really pretty :D

You could get some cool shots with the car in them lol heres one i took when i had a Driver years ago lol

We've got groups of clouds out here, and a little spotty rain....but it sure ups the "creep factor"! I'll see if I can snap some sinister pics. Moon looks like it's trying to bust through.

Sound sweet Keith.....enjoy yourself. :thumleft:

Calm and steady mist tonight here Keith, enjoy the gift you have been given tonight.
Your Arkansas friend is happy to hear you are enjoying the great simple things in life that
money can not buy :glasses7:

Yup Mike, just got a wiff of one of mother natures odors, I smell a skunk in the breeze.....I don't mind the smell at all, but the bastard better not come near me lol....better than the manure smell from the farmer across the lake :glasses7:

I had my eye on it earlier, was down at the E end of the lake wishing for a sunset............didn't happen. I was just about to step out and have a look. I need to drive several miles out of town to get to a good light free spot to shoot at it.

Just throw a hot dog about 30 yards toward the wind (or witch ever way he/she is) and she/he will leave, he/she smells a free meal and is trying to move you on your way. :glasses7:

Yes they are :D:D, No sudden movements Keith, he/she is laying and waiting, if you set real still and quit you will see him/her sneaking even closer :toothy10:

Unfortunately we didn't have much of a sunset tonight. I tried to make the most of it by catching a reflection off the lake. The one showing water is the S end of Lake Coeur d Alene. The second one is coming home, there was a turnout in the freeway, and I just slammed the brakes, pulled over and snapped a couple. This is along the freeway, tough to 'not' get vehicles in the frame.

These moon shots are not particularly good. There was some sort of haze around the moon tonight, and of course the wx is hot. I was in a T shirt and perfectly warm

The bottom shot is a full size crop. This is my beat up 300mm f2.8, with a Canon 2X Extender II stacked with a 1.4X Tamron converter, so a combined lens of 840mm.

I did nothing to these except crop and scale 'em down

The full moon looks awesome tonight, took a little drive so I could see it better, too bad I don't have a camera like Del lol :glasses7:

I'm still frustrated. Took a step out last night, don't know if it's smoke from fires or what, but it's hardly "photo quality" around here. "hazy" I guess is the word.

Only happens once in a blue moon.

Oh, wait...it IS a blue moon!

Get outside, great moon tonight!!!

My oldest son and I were checking it out from our kitchen while we were eating dinner last night. (window faces east).

I can see it now from my room (faces west).

Pretty cool! :happy1:
