A-body 4spd console side cover

I have an A-body 4 spd console for my Dart but it does not have the side cover. Noticed that Brewers has one for a B-body, pic attached.

Anyone know if an A-body one is reproduced? if not any suggestions on making one to cover with the carpet?

I've never seen a side cover on an A body console - just an opening to clear the 4 sp hump, which isn't visible after the console carpet is installed.

My 69 cuda has one, its kinda like paper mache/cardboard. Doesnt look anything like the pic you posted though. I can try and get pics tomorrow. Pm me for a reminder on Sunday

Here's a pic of the fiberglas side cover that someone in Michigan made and I just happened to buy a used console and it was attached. I sprayed it black. fits perfect. I glued a piece of console carpet to it. As a note, the original was some form of cardboard.

SSBA and i have been talking about making a mold of mine. I haven't been home long enough to spend time on it. Im leery as mine still has original carpet glued to it.

Hey Winston. Im home this weekend and plan on taking the.console back.with me. Thru the.week hopefully will work better to make progress. Don't.wanna.rush.anything.and bugger it up.

I am not sure 1966 A-Body cars came with this, don't recall one on my dads 66 or the 66 Fish 4-speed I parted out....the console had a notch, but think the console carpet just covered it up.....

that's amazingly clean car ....I would have never guessed a 150 mph would have ever been available in a car like that especially with a (chuckles) 273.

Keith, It is a beautiful car.

The picture posted above is the correct console side cover it is identical to mine. It appears to half cardboard and carpet overlay with an epoxy and formed.
