Holloween, valentines day, big promotions in stores to sell cards and candy. Seems like Easter this year is just an after thought to a lot of retailers. Or is it different in your neighborhood.
I swear, bunnies get no respect anymore.
Easter doesn't make the money the other ones do, simple as that.
Yeah.. Jesus doesn't get much respect anymore either.
Nail on the head.
Yeah.. Jesus doesn't get much respect anymore either.

I try to stay away from the commercial side of holidays. Christmas and Easter hold special meaning to me because of my faith.
I think the lack of commercialism of the Easter Holiday this year is actually a good sign.
I think it signals the reversal of Easter as a secular commercial Holiday back to being the religious Christian celebration that really is.
When commercial business can't capitalize on a Holiday, they back away quickly leaving it for the faithful to celebrate it as it should be.
When the Easter Bunny losses market share, Christ gets the flock back.
Not a bad thing.
Well said to all the members above :color:yes, I too hate commercialisn of holidays. not that much $$ to be made peddlin crap baskets and candy eggs!???
fine for very small kids to do the Easter r abbit egg deal, but they need to have access to a faith and religion. faith is bigger than everything.......
I have not been out much but have to agree there seems to be less :glasses7: A good thing :color:Maybe I worded it wrong. I agree less commercialism is better. That's why I posted The question as to how it was in different areas.
Yeah.. Jesus doesn't get much respect anymore either.
