Pretty normal when they believe it isn't an 'urgent' case. Unknown perhaps, but not dark. My family has a history of that stuff and my Mom had more lumps discovered and removed for biopsy than I could count. Only once did they start to be a little urgent and even then it turned out to be nothing.

Breasts develop lumps (male or female). Hard and palpable is rarely any concern. It's the soft ones that only show up on mammograms that you start to become concerned about. Even then, it's never a panic.
