Birth of the Blue Missile

Bought a similar spoiler setup for my Miata but don't have a switch. What are you using for a switch?Looking for a one touch auto up/auto down solution preferably. Link to video from prior owner.

I found another small project tucked away in a box. I resized the fender braces for the front quarters and had been holding on to the parts to create a couple of link rods for that purpose. That is done.

Go get an electric window switch, They operate on the same switching principle. I used one of the switches in my avionics switch group. You need a dpdt maintainet switch for this.

I just finished putting together a plating set up for black chrome and gold plating. Next is an interface for the TCI tranny and the paddle shifters.

Andrew,
Awesome stuff you come up with. I wish you lived nearby I could use some electrical assistance with my FAST wiring

While waiting on the small breaks in the humidity level, so I can spray lacquer, I have been working on the Tranny /shifter interface for the Duster.
I thought I had an enclosure that would let me stand the four relays up, but that was not to be. So I had to go to plan B and lay them down. The machining is done so NOW I can fire up the soldering iron.
More later

I'm sure Andrew is out plotting his next move. He'll update eventually.

I am still here, the build is on hold until I either uncover some small project I packed away before the move, or my Son graduates college. I visit and read but I am building guitars on the cheap to keep myself busy. I do uncover the car and air it out while listening to tunes and exercising all the relays. It has a permanent on board battery charger plugged into the house. Ill be back it wont be long now!

Hiya Andrew, its been a while. I just got caught up on the Missile build, you've really done some incredible work! When I heard you talk about what you were going to put into this car, I admit I was somewhat skeptical. I really didn't believe it could be done, but your achievement so far goes beyond what I thought was possible in a home garage, or anywhere for that matter. Well done. I think last I heard you had just done a CF dash pad and brought it in to a club meeting for show and tell.

I really look forward to the time you can move forward with your drive train and paint.
I understand how long these things take though. I took apart my Challenger in 2008 and am just now getting reliable enough to drive it much. My build is here: I Finally started my 70 Challengers Gen III Restomod!!

I just picked up a Duster and am getting ready to start on it. Just collecting parts and making a plan at this point.
