Monday morning, I'm happy.......here is what the bumpers look like dry prior to install. Second pic, front bumper carriage bolts test fitted again after paint:

Bumpers look great!! On the grill, have you considered doing some accent paint to break up the “black hole” look? Something like on the Duster below would really help I think. Just a thought. Carry on.

My gosh we are long lost brothers! Look at my thread on B-Bodies.... It is almost the same story but with my '68 Coronet!

1968 Coronet 500 Project

I am working on buying a '73 Duster for a new project with my daughter and this is perfect. She is even leaning for the same green! I need to spend some time reading through all these pages for some inspiration!

Exterior of the trunk lid is all set for paint in the morning. Got the interior of the trunk lid, (that I painted months ago), all taped off.

^ LOL! I'll have to take pics tomorrow when I get over to my shop. I did 3 base coats and 3 clear coats, looked pretty good when I left. Pics tomorrow.

Painting the rest of the car. Looks like Higgs has got some time to help me on Saturday! We will show up at 7am and get to slinging the green and clear. Higgs, of course will be Mix-Master and General Paint Boss in charge! I'll just be doing the spraying!

Feels good to get it done doesn't it. Are you glad you did it yourself?

^ Yes, I am so glad to have gotten it done! Dave you were the very first one to tell me "Paint it yourself", when I was at your house! Then showing me your Barracuda that you painted. I was talking to Higgs about this yesterday saying: It was Dave that first told me to paint the car myself. Thanks Dave.

We first mixed a gallon of base, here is the gallon with 32 oz in the gun ready to start.

The pics don't do the car justice, too much paint cloud in the air. I will take better pics.
I am going over to the shop today, probably pull all the masking and take better pics.
Big Thanks to Higgs for all the help yesterday!
