This is why I won't buy a FBBO gold membership

They fixed it up now. There are clowns everywhere Steve. They have no clue.
"You can't crush that"............"OK, come buy it then"............"But, uh, duh".
Everyone is a critic, perhaps a mirror should be able to give it's own opinion!

Maybe some have watched too much car TV shows.. I hate seeing any old Mopar crushed, BUT... with some only thing holds it together is RUST!!!!!

I fail to see what this has to do w/ a gold membership !! What am I missing ?

Why pay to a site you don't like to frequent, Because of the treatment you get from the crowd that stands with there arms crossed over their chests at every meet you go to because they are better than the A-body crowd. I don't mean all but most.

Can't even get a hat that fits them. I had many B-body cars in my days. I gained weight and lost income in my older years and I just needed to get a lighter and Cheaper car to go fast. Hence The Duster/ Demon

I used to race a hemi belvedere, and drove one to work. I do like the A bodies better tho. 9 times out of 10, an A body will be faster w/ the same drive train. Seems like the B body guys are buyers instead of builders too------Not to piss anybody off here ! All mopars rock, well almost.

I love both A and B bodies. A bodies are more common now. B bodies are harder to find in affordable condition. This makes the B body group a more exclusive crowd. Just by laws of nature the more exclusive a car is the more uppity the owners seam. Some would say E body guys are worst than B body guys. C body guys are the coolest most down to earth bunch of cruisers of all of us. Just the way things go. To be honest I have meet plenty of people in the Mopar community who are jerks when it comes to anything not to their standards of Mopar cool. I used to do trading with a local Mopar guy and for a while I had to put the hobby aside due to financial issues. I sold my 1964 Barracuda and my 1968 Plymouth Satellite to a guy while my 67 Dart was rotting away Parked at a friends farm. My daily driver was a Jeep Wrangler and I went to a local cruise night. Same guy was all friendly when I got there. He asked what I was driving. I said I have my wrangler right now which is a Mopar and he just stared blankly and walked away. I have since bought my satellite back. The guy wrecked the cuda. I moved my 67 to storage now and bought a 69 Swinger 340 car for a race car. As for the *** at the cruise night. I wouldn’t piss on him if his guts were on fire. Jerks in every hobby.

that thing is definitely rotten. you couldn't tell in the first pics though. that's probably what they were seeing

It's all so high school!!! "mines better than yours":drama:

What cracks me up are the ones with a better car at home apart or broken when I drove mine 100 miles or more to get there.
I don't mind reminding them of that either when they start getting all snooty.

The thing I usually find is that the people that act clickish about what they own are usually the type of people I don't like being around anyway, even outside of the cars subject.

Hmm, I’m a B body owner...never thought of myself as uppity or snooty about it! I just happen into cars by chance, so I really have no steadfast following of any body style! Now, Viper owners?? Snooty doesn’t begin to describe the reception, or lack thereof when you are mingling with them!!

I was watching an appraisal car show last night called "Sticker shock". I thought "oh great now everyone will be a skilled car appraiser"... it screws everything up. It still comes down to how much someone is willing to pay for any car.

Yeah Corvette people are snooty too. usually bald headed also.

Thank you very much! I resemble that remark!! OK, so I am just bald headed, sorta .

I have owned all the models, all the engines combos , been around all types of mopar guys over the last 40 odd years. People that are TRUE lovers of these old Mopars are all pretty darn decent people, generally IMHO. The TRUE lovers of the hobby..... True, the E body guys tend to spend more $$ than the average B body guy, and B bodies tend to cost more than A bodies, and etc etc. But asshole people can be found everywhere or anywhere.
I myself tend to gravitate toward people with less $$$ , less egos, that are not so shiney. But I have many old Mopar friends that are died in the wool either E body or B body guys and they are great people, and they would not own an A body if you gave it to them ( or just long enough to flip it! LOL)....
Want to meet some great car guys in general, get to know the C and F,M, R etc body crowd some...... lots of true car lover.

Yeah, my Corvette remark comes from a conversation with a Physician assistant(medical people think they are high and mighty too, but I wont elaborate) he was talking about his vette, I said"Yeah my 86 Fox Body speedo goes up to 85, its constantly buried and I don't know how fast I'm actually going" he looked at me like "how dare you mention Mustang in a Corvette conversation?" :) but yeah, I agree A holes are everywhere, especially in this day and age of no consequences.

Pappy Towner said it best.

" People are like water they will seek their own level."

because you're selling your B body?
Yeah the old Roadrunner was a little cold inside this past winter and I kept getting hit in the back of the head with rock salt. I pulled the knocking Hemi drive line out you get more at the crusher as short iron.

Vettes!!???? hahahahah... anyway..... Back in the 90's I bought a 69 vette 427 390 hp pretty decent car but it needed body/paint. I got it from guy I bought some early B bodies off in Wichita and he had a Vette resto shop. Part of the deal was he would send his bodyman from his shop in Ks over to me and my guy in Mo and show us the details of replacing fiberglass fenders ( yes they are 2 pieces "glued" together), gelcoat, etc.
Long story short, That all happens, we did a complete paint job, redid the interior, mechanically it was great. I also made a trip out to Bloomngton, In. to their big do dah show . I found I did not fit in with 95% of them, pretty snobby bunch ( I dared not talk of my Mopars!)... I also was informed my 390 horse 69 possessed little attraction to them. OKkkkkk... If it was an original 425 hp ( 3 deuce) car, then it be a little " better". While East I did pick up some Mopar stuff so not a total waste. ( 69 rustfree Hemi GTX roller for $5000 LOL) ,,, I sold this Vette and they were right , back in '94-5? wasn't worth much, I think it brought $8-9000 and I had to deliver it to Wi. !!!!!!!
I still LOVE car people that love the old car hobby, horsemn than appreciate the work ethic of a good minded horse, and people that love dogs. OK so some cat people are great too! ps... anyone want my wife's cockatoo before I strangle the SOB??????

Mine just ran out, I won't be renewing it. A lot of general discussions there are turned political lately and get ugly FAST. It's unbelievable how a certain click there has overrun the place and like to label anyone who has a difference of opinion . I'm not thin skinned, but who needs the bullshit when your not looking for a debate. I stop in for repair info or see what's for sale, but other than that I'm done. To bad. I'm a Mopar guy.
